Kizazi Hodari Southern Zone Activity

The Kizazi Hodari Southern Zone Activity provides technical and material assistance and/or administrative and management support to the Government of Tanzania -Ministry of Health, Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups and President’s Office Regional Administration and Local Government through local government authorities, at regional, districts level, and wards levels, and ADP Mbozi to increase their capacity to manage, refine and develop OVC service packages and support to advance OVC Activity contribution to HIV epidemic control

Key Objectives:
Objective 1:
Increase use of OVC platforms for paediatric HIV case finding, linkage to treatment, and viral suppression.
Result 1.1: Improved case identification, linkage to ART, and viral suppression among C/ALHIV.
Result 1.2: Improved case management for C/ALHIV, HEI and their caregivers/families.
Result 1.3: Delivery of differentiated OVC service packages for C/ALHIV, HEI and their caregivers/families.

Objective 2: Increase access to HIV prevention, violence prevention, and response services for OVC and youth.
Result 2.1: Scale up of evidence-based interventions for prevention of HIV and sexual violence.
Result 2.2: Improved VAC and GBV reporting and response.
Result 2.3: Increased education access, retention, and progression among AGYW.

Objective 3: Improve socio-economic capacity of at-risk adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) and OVC caregivers
Result 3.1: Increased participation of at-risk AGYW in economic strengthening activities.
Result 3.2: Improved social and economic assets among at risk AGYW.
Result 3.3: Increased savings, income, and assets among OVC households
