WORTH YETU groups in USAID Kizazi Kipya project are used as a means of enabling OVCs to get support as these groups establishes OVCs funds for that purpose. A good example of this group is the well organized Upendo group (with 36 caregivers) that has mobilized OVCs funds with the value of TZS 250,000. The group has used the raised OVC fund to support OVCs who are in Ruanda primary school with school materials, soap and body oil as a means of encouraging regular school attendance and as such improve academic performance.
